Mr Powell, a 28-year-old man from the UK, was stung by bees in his garden. He was stung more than 240 times in less than a minute. The incident occurred on a sunny day in July.

He said: “Gina was throwing buckets of cold water over me and then I jumped in the shower.

A man was stung by wasps while showering. He described the scene as “black with so many wasps.” The wasps were all over him, stinging him, and he was unable to get them off. The man felt the stings throughout his body.

The festival organiser expressed his gratitude towards the medical staff at the hospitals, stating that without the swift actions of his wife and friends, he could have lost his life.
